Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Fes to Merzouga. En route, stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco”, and then in Azrou’s cedar forest to see wild Barbary monkeys. Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains and the stunning Ziz Valley. Arrive in Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara Desert, and relax at your hotel near the dunes.
Merzouga Desert Exploration & Camel Trek
Today is dedicated to exploring the Sahara. Visit the village of Khamlia, home to Gnawa musicians. Discover traditional nomad families living in the desert, explore palm groves and ancient mines. In the afternoon, ride a camel across the golden dunes to your desert camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner and sleep under the stars in a Berber tent.
Merzouga ➝ Rissani ➝ Erfoud ➝ Todra Gorges ➝ Dades Valley

Catch the desert sunrise before heading to Rissani, the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty, then Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops. Continue to the impressive Todra Gorges, a favorite for hikers and climbers. Overnight stay in a charming hotel or riad in the scenic Dades Valley.
Dades Valley ➝ Rose Valley ➝ Skoura ➝ Ouarzazate

After breakfast, journey through the rugged Dades Gorges, and drive along the Valley of Roses, especially stunning in spring. Pass through the palm groves and kasbahs of Skoura (visit to Kasbah Amridil optional). Arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Overnight in a local guesthouse or riad.

Morning visit to the iconic Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m), enjoying panoramic views. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon. End of tour.
